Ukraine Pushes for Progress in Peace Talks Ahead of Davos Forum
Delegation Heads to the United States
A Ukrainian team is travelling to the United States for talks on security guarantees and a long term recovery plan.
Zelenskyy hopes some documents could be signed during the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Goals for the Meeting
Kyiv wants clear commitments from Washington about future support. Ukraine also wants to understand how Russia might react to peace proposals backed by the US.
Zelenskyy discussed these points with Czech President Petr Pavel in Kyiv. Both leaders asked for stronger unity among Ukraine’s partners.

Possible EU Fast Track Plan
EU officials are exploring a plan to bring Ukraine into the European Union faster as part of a future peace deal.
Ukraine would not get full rights right away. It would earn them step by step during a transition period.
This idea gives Ukraine a clear path while easing concerns inside Europe.

Need for More Air Defence
Ukraine says it does not have enough air defence systems. Zelenskyy warned that Russia is preparing more large scale attacks. He again called on allies to send more missiles and equipment.
Until Ukraine can protect key sites, peace talks will remain difficult.
