Yale emerging climate leaders fellowship in the U.S and France:
The goal of the Emerging Climate Leaders Fellowship is to bring together dedicated leaders from emerging and developing nations in the fields of clean energy and climate change. This community will be enhanced by interactions with leading Yale researchers and faculty as well as leading international authorities in the clean energy transition, such as the International Energy Agency.
From February 16–20, 2026, Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, will host a one-week in-person orientation event to kick off this five-month fellowship.
To establish the parameters of the global climate change discussion, fellows will participate in a number of interactive sessions with eminent Yale academics and professionals.
Fellows will delve into cutting-edge research on a variety of renewable energy and climate concerns and discover the vast array of climate change programs housed at Yale.
Climate Fellows will plan and conduct a series of interactive remote sessions with leading global experts on the whole spectrum of policy problems related to climate change and the clean energy transition between March and June 2026.
Sessions are dynamic excursions that facilitate the growth of specialized communities of practice and provide ample opportunity for mentoring.
An in-person week in Paris from June 15–19, 2026, marks the fellowship’s conclusion.
In addition to meeting with leading global climate change analysts, fellows will exchange viewpoints acquired during the program and strengthen their professional and personal networks through peer learning and viewpoint sharing.
Fellows will have the opportunity to network with representatives of academia, the private sector, think tanks, civil society organizations, and the French central government and municipalities, as well as employees of the International Energy Agency and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

Application requirement:
- Candidates should have five to ten years of professional experience and have a track record of regional, national, or worldwide success.
- We are seeking young leaders who are still advancing in their professions, but there is no minimum or maximum age restriction.
- Candidates must be Global South ambassadors.
- We are excited to have a varied representation from Latin America/Caribbean, Asia, the Middle East, and developing Africa.
- Candidates must speak English well.
- To be successful in the program, one must have a strong command of the English language.

- To apply or take part, there is no application fee or other expense. The program will pay for all fellows’ expenses (round-trip flights, accommodation, transfers, and per diem) during Yale Orientation Week and Paris Closing Week.

UN OHCHR Fellowship 2025 in Switzerland
For those of African descent from the diaspora who are actively working to advance the rights of persons of African descent, the Fellowship program offers comprehensive human rights training.
The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva hosts it once a year.
The Second International Decade for People of African Descent (2025–2034), which was declared by the UN General Assembly in December 2024 by resolution A/RES/79/193, will be the first to be held during the 2025 Fellowship Program.
Purpose of the program:
Enhancing participants’ abilities to support and defend the civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights of individuals of African heritage in their own countries is the goal.
The participants have the resources needed to: make sure that laws, policies, and programs are developed in accordance with international human rights standards; improve civil society-government cooperation; and carry out advocacy and awareness-raising initiatives locally.
Who is eligible to apply?
The applicant must be an African American who resides in the Diaspora.
The applicant must have worked on issues pertaining to the rights of people of African descent for at least four years.
A formal letter, on official letterhead, attesting to the candidate’s position within the organization and addressing concerns pertaining to minorities or persons of African heritage should be sent by the candidate.
The candidates need to be able to attend for the entire program. Participation in various activities and rigorous adherence to the program are expected of the chosen fellows.
The Fellowship will be held from 10 to 28 November 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland.
