PAF Contingent Arrives in Saudi Arabia for Spears of Victory 2026
The Pakistan Air Force has reached Saudi Arabia to join the multinational aerial combat exercise called Spears of Victory 2026. ISPR shared the update in a press release on Monday.
Arrival at King Abdulaziz Air Base
The PAF team landed at King Abdulaziz Air Base. It includes F 16 Block 52 fighter jets along with trained air and ground crew. They will take part in advanced air combat drills with several partner nations.
Countries Taking Part
This year’s exercise includes fighter jets and support units from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, France, Italy, Greece, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, the United Kingdom and the United States. It brings many strong air forces together in one training space.

Main Goals of the Exercise
According to ISPR, the training aims to improve teamwork, planning and communication between the participating air forces. The focus areas include:
Large force employment
Night air missions
Combined ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance)
Operations in complex electronic warfare settings
This gives pilots a chance to train in real combat like conditions.
PAF Demonstrates Long Range Capability
The PAF jets completed a non stop flight from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia. This showed the long range reach of the F 16 Block 52 aircraft and the high skill level of the pilots. It also highlights the expeditionary strength of the air force.
Advanced Training for PAF Pilots
During the exercise, PAF pilots will fly F 16 Block 52 jets fitted with modern avionics and Beyond Visual Range weapons. They will face air crews from countries operating many types of advanced aircraft. This helps the PAF test its readiness in a more demanding airspace.
Strengthening Regional and Global Cooperation
ISPR said the participation of Pakistan in Spears of Victory reflects a strong commitment to military cooperation at both regional and international levels. It also shows the professional skill of PAF crews and their ability to perform well in different and tough environments.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Defence Partnership
In September, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement. It states that an attack on either country will be considered an attack on both. This shows the depth of their defence ties.
Beyond military cooperation, both countries share strong economic and cultural links. Saudi Arabia has supported Pakistan through financial aid and energy supplies. Their partnership is built on shared interests and long standing relations.
