Sapienza University Of Rome
Announces Erasmus+ 2026–2027 Scholarships
The Sapienza Erasmus+ Scholarship 2026 offers students a valuable chance to study abroad at leading European universities while continuing their degree at Sapienza University of Rome.
With around 2,000 mobility admissions available for the 2026–2027 academic year, the program provides financial support, academic credit transfer, and access to more than 650 partner institutions across Europe.
Sapienza remains one of the largest Erasmus+ mobility centers in Europe. It holds more than 1,500 bilateral agreements with over 650 universities. For the 2026–2027 academic cycle, around 2,000 mobility scholarships are available.
Students can study abroad for a period ranging from two to twelve months. This wide network allows participants to choose from many respected institutions across Europe, depending on their field of study and academic goals.

Study at Leading European Universities
The program includes opportunities within the CIVIS Alliance, a network of well known European universities. Students may apply to institutions such as the University of Glasgow, the Stockholm University, the Autonomous University of Madrid, Aix-Marseille University and the Free University Of Brussels. These institutions are known for strong academic standards and international communities.
Through this mobility experience, students can broaden their academic perspective and build professional networks across borders.
Living and studying in another European country also helps improve language skills and cultural awareness. For many, it becomes a key step in shaping future careers.
Scholarship Benefits and Academic Support
The Erasmus+ 2026–2027 call provides both academic and financial support. Selected students receive monthly funding to help cover living and mobility costs during their stay abroad.
While studying at the host university, they remain enrolled at Sapienza. Credits earned abroad are fully recognized and transferred toward their home degree, provided that the study plan is approved in advance.
Students who do not already hold a language certificate can take a test through the Sapienza Language Centre. This ensures that applicants still have a fair opportunity to qualify for destinations that require proof of language proficiency.
The overall structure of the program is designed to make international study smooth and academically secure.

Eligibility and Application Deadline
To apply, students must be enrolled and eligible for international mobility during their academic career. They must meet the academic requirements of their program and remain in good standing.
Applicants need to select destinations from Sapienza’s partner university network and satisfy the language requirements set by the host institution.
It is important to follow the official Erasmus+ mobility rules and submit the application before the deadline. Students selected in the first deadline round are not allowed to reapply in the second round.
The final date to apply under the second deadline for the Erasmus+ 2026–2027 Call for Studies is 27 May 2026. Students interested in gaining international academic experience are encouraged to prepare their documents early and review the available destinations carefully.
