Regional Security Tightens as Russia Faces Sabotage Claims Across Europe
Sabotage Plot Uncovered in Poland
Polish prosecutors charged five men with taking part in a Russian run operation. They are accused of sending explosive parcels to the UK, the US, Canada and other countries.
Four of the suspects are Ukrainian citizens and one is Russian. They could face life in prison.
Officials said the group acted for Russian intelligence services.
Lithuania Reports Similar Case
Lithuania charged six foreign citizens in another suspected operation linked to Russia’s GRU military intelligence agency.
The group allegedly planned an arson attack on a company that makes equipment for Ukrainian forces.
Those charged include people from Spain, Colombia, Cuba, Belarus and Russia.

European Security on High Alert
These cases show how the war has spread outside Ukraine through secret operations. European countries are increasing security around sensitive sites and watching for cyberattacks and sabotage attempts.
Mixed Signals From European Leaders
Some European leaders have called for renewed dialogue with Russia. The Kremlin said it sees this as a positive sign.
But many EU countries remain cautious. EU-Russia relations are still frozen, and sanctions remain in place.

Political Tension Inside Ukraine
A Kyiv court released former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on bail. She faces charges of paying lawmakers to influence votes. She denies the claims and says the case is political.
