HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed, in a speech, that the shared keenness to cooperate and continue discussions in several fields is nothing but a desire to enhance and advance relations between the GCC countries and Egypt to further growth and prosperity.

His Excellency explained that the State of Qatar has made substantial efforts to mediate between Israel and Hamas to stop the war on Gaza, in partnership with the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and the friendly United States of America, noting that the State of Qatar will continue its efforts with all active countries to reach a permanent ceasefire.

The Israeli war, now in its 149th day, has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave’s infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
