Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace Agreement: Zangezur Corridor and Middle Corridor Boost Regional Prosperity
The agreement signed yesterday between Azerbaijan and Armenia marks an important step towards resolving the long-standing conflict in the South Caucasus. Facilitated by U.S. President Donald Trump, this process strengthens the prospects for peace and stability not only between the two countries but across the entire region.
For Azerbaijan, the significance of this agreement goes beyond merely normalizing relations with Armenia. It also involves regional transportation and economic cooperation opportunities, especially the opening of the Zangezur corridor and the realization of the Middle Corridor project.

This project could create a new economic artery stretching from Central Asia to Europe, which represents strategic opportunities not only for Azerbaijan and Armenia but also for the entire Turkic world and our friend Pakistan.
Azerbaijan believes that the establishment of peace will free the region from dependence on external influences and create conditions for our countries to develop their resources and potentials more freely.

The document signed yesterday is not just a piece of paper but a historic step towards leaving a safer and more prosperous region to future generations.
Peace means the full restoration of ties between Turkic states. The opening of communications also rescues Armenia from its difficult situation, as the country has been economically lagging due to its isolation.
Good relations with Azerbaijan will bring only benefits to Armenia.
